4A Beijing Residency
I woke up at 7am and went about my usual morning ritual. Justin and I set of just before 8 and jogged over to the farm where Eugenia’s family is staying for a Tai Chi session with Susan. Little Ida was extremely cute running around in her saggy bum nappy. Susan led us in a Tai Chi session with lot’s of breathing exercises. She’s 70 years old and very graceful in her movements while I stumbled my way through it like a clunky robot. Eugenia joined in too after taking some pics. It was a beautiful morning and it was nice to be doing something so relaxing. We got back to Shen’s around 930am and I headed upstairs for some more exercise. It sounds like I’m doing a lot but I’m not really, just enough to feel better about myself, haha. Afterwards I chatted to my sister Rabiah at home and went back to my favourite couch for some more nerd writing. Eugenia came over and we all had lunch. I spent the afternoon back on my various bits of writing, the grant is done and now I’m just waiting for a letter and a bit of info to finish it off and submit it. I did a bit of shopping online, I gotta reward myself for getting through all these amazing meals and this giant couch in this big fancy house, it’s hard work you know! We had dinner and I stared at my computer for a while watching classic fights and Muhammad Ali clips before going to bed.
